1. Entry and general rules
1.1 By entering the Pitland Arena (the “Arena”), every person (the “Visitor”, and where they take part in a ride, the “Participant”) undertakes to comply with these Operating Rules, the instructions of the Operator's authorised employees and persons cooperating with the Operator (the “Responsible Persons”), and the applicable legal regulations of the Czech Republic.
1.2 The Visitor enters the Arena at their own risk. The Visitor acknowledges that motorsport is an activity with an increased risk of injury and undertakes it voluntarily.
1.3 It is prohibited to bring alcohol, drugs, narcotic and psychotropic substances, weapons, explosives and flammable materials into the Arena. A strict ban on open flames and smoking applies.
1.4 The Visitor must keep the premises clean, must not endanger safety, and must respect all safety tape and prohibition signs in the Arena. The Operator is not liable for items brought into the Arena and set aside there by the Visitor.
1.5 The Operator reserves the right to refuse entry to, or expel from the Arena without compensation, anyone who, despite being warned, violates these Operating Rules, fails to follow the instructions of the Responsible Persons, or behaves improperly. In extreme cases, the Operator will request intervention by the Police of the Czech Republic or the Municipal Police of the City of Prague.
1.6 Contractual matters (orders, vouchers, cancellations, complaints) are governed by the Terms and Conditions (pitland.cz/en/terms). The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy (pitland.cz/en/privacy).
2. Participation in a ride — age, physical and medical requirements
Age: The minimum age for riding an ePit is 6 years. Children aged 6–11 may take part only in the physical presence of a parent or legal guardian at the Arena. Children and adolescents aged 12–17 may take part even without the physical presence of a legal guardian; however, written consent of the legal guardian, signed in advance or at the reception, is required; by giving consent, the legal guardian assumes responsibility for any harm caused by the minor.
Physical requirements: A minimum height of 150 cmapplies for riding an ePit (no minimum is set for the “Ride for Kids” course). The standard loaned riding suit is available up to size 60 EU; a Participant with their own suitable protective gear may take part in a ride even outside this size range; the upper weight limit is 150 kg.
Medical fitness: By entering the Arena and registering, the Participant declares that they are medically fit to ride and do not suffer from any illness or take any medication that would preclude their participation (in particular a serious musculoskeletal disorder, cardiovascular disease, epilepsy, serious visual impairment, disqualifying medication, pregnancy). The Participant is responsible for the truthfulness of the declaration and consents to the provision of first aid and necessary medical treatment in the event of an injury.
Alcohol and intoxicating substances: Zero tolerance. By entering the Arena and registering, the Participant declares that they have not consumed alcohol, narcotic or psychotropic substances, or medication with similar effects. The Operator is entitled to carry out an indicative breath test or other test; in the event of a positive or refused test, the Operator will prohibit the Participant from riding — in such a case the Voucher is considered redeemed and no entitlement to a refund of the price paid arises.
3. Riding rules
Before the ride, the Participant must put on a protective helmet, gloves, riding suit and closed shoes, hand over loose items of clothing (scarves, shawls, loose hoods) to the staff, and tie up longer hair. Before setting off, the Participant familiarises themselves with the track (pit area, track exit, track entry, flag signals) and with the controls of the motorcycle (including switching off the motor).
During the ride, the Participant:
- follows the instructions of the Responsible Persons, in particular flag signals;
- rides in the direction of travel, remains seated on the seat at all times and keeps the helmet fastened throughout;
- keeps a safe distance and adjusts their speed to their own abilities;
- must not intentionally crash into the barriers, other riders or motorcycles, or force them off the track. In the event of intentional damage or a gross breach of the Operating Rules, the Operator will claim compensation for damage (Section 2911 of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code);
- must not tamper with the technical parts of the motorcycle (motor, transmission, brakes) or with the track equipment.
Liability between Participants. If damage is caused by the conduct of another Participant contrary to the Operating Rules or the instructions of the Responsible Persons, that Participant is primarily liable for it (Section 2910 of the Civil Code). This is without prejudice to the Operator's statutory liability under Section 2924 of the Civil Code for damage arising from a defect in the equipment or from a breach of the duty of due professional care.
Entering and leaving the pit area: A motorcycle riding on the track has priority over a motorcycle leaving the pit area. The Participant dismounts the motorcycle only in the pit area, except in the event of a breakdown, accident or immediate danger.
Emergencies: In the event of a breakdown or accident, the Participant calls the staff by raising a hand, leaves the track by the nearest safe route behind the barriers and awaits instructions. Loose objects on the track, an accident or other danger must be reported to the staff immediately; the Participant does not intervene themselves, unless health or life would otherwise be under immediate threat.
Early termination of a ride. The Operator is entitled to terminate a ride early in the event of repeated falls, intentional breaches of the rules or failure to follow the instructions of the Responsible Persons, without the Participant being entitled to a refund of the price paid.
4. Photo, video and CCTV
A CCTV system is in operation at the Arena to ensure the safety of persons and property — further information is provided in the Privacy Policy (pitland.cz/en/privacy).
Marketing photographs and videosmay be taken at the Arena for the Operator's promotional purposes. By entering the Arena, the Participant consents to their taking and use; the consent may be withdrawn at any time by e-mail to info@pitland.cz. For children under 15 years of age, marketing recordings are not published without the express consent of the legal guardian.
5. Acceptance of the Operating Rules
By entering the Arena and by the taking of an identification photograph of the Participant in the internal system (APEX Timing), the Participant declares that they have read these Operating Rules and accept them in full.
For children aged 6–11, registration is carried out at the reception by the personally present parent or legal guardian, who approves the Operating Rules on behalf of the minor and accompanies them in the Arena throughout the stay.
For children and adolescents aged 12–17, in addition to registration with a photograph, a signed paper consent of the legal guardianto the minor's participation in the ride must be submitted, by which the legal guardian assumes responsibility for any harm caused by the minor.
